What is a document review?
The document review portion of a Joint Commission Environment of Care Mock Survey is designed to look through your inspection, testing and maintenance documents for fire alarms, suppression, generators, and more to ensure that you are complying with the required testing timeframes. These reviews also look to make sure that all of the correct data is being collected, by the right people, at the right times and that they are using the correct codes and standards to do so.
What happens during the building tour?
AjudaHC tours your facility looking to ensure compliance with a wide variety of Joint Commission and NFPA Codes and Standards so hazards within the Environment of Care can be discovered and eliminated. Part of the process during EOC Mock Surveys surveys is to look above the ceiling to find firestopping and construction issues, open junction boxes, items on sprinkler pipes, and more. Below the ceiling, we are testing doors and pressure relationships, looking for broken ceiling tiles, dirty sprinkler heads, general cleanliness, etc. AjudaHC is looking for any potential hazard in the Environment of Care that could put patient safety or accreditation compliance in jeopardy.
